A former 16th-century Benedictine monastery turned the Riviera's most storied hotel, perched in terraced gardens above the bay. A sensitive 2025 reimagining by Martin Brudnizki returned the 52-room house to the spirit of a private Italian villa, anchored in Chiavari rattan, Albissola ceramics and noble materials. It remains the address against which all others on this coast are measured.
