The Brando

The only resort on Tetiaroa and the sole reason to visit the atoll. Developed by Pacific Beachcomber SC under an agreement with the Brando Family Trust and opened July 1, 2014, it carries no chain branding and answers to no group standard beyond its own. Thirty-five villas — thirty one-bedroom, four two-bedroom and one three-bedroom pool villa — are spread across Onetahi with private pools and direct beach frontage on every unit, run on an all-inclusive rate structure covering meals, most beverages, one daily excursion, and one daily spa treatment per villa. The property is powered by a roughly $12 million deep-seawater air conditioning system and solar arrays covering the airstrip, and was the first resort in the world to achieve LEED Platinum certification across its entire footprint. Guests arrive on the resort's own aircraft via Air Tetiaroa, landing on a private airstrip rather than sharing commercial arrivals infrastructure with any other property.
